Gretna Man Wins $10,000 Playing Powerball

January 24, 2013 – Weldon Preston of Gretna recently won $10,000 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 9,500 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Saturday, January 5 drawings. Among these winners was Preston, who purchased his winning ticket at Kum & Go, 12051 Wickersham Boulevard in Gretna. The ticket was contained four of the five winning white ball numbers (26, 30, 49, 51, 54) and the Powerball number (25) from the January 5 drawing for $10,000.

Four hundred and seven Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 Powerball prize to date. The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 648,975, and the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 31.8.
