May 14, 2012 – Quan Tran of Lincoln recently won $90,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.
Tran’s winning Nebraska Pick 5 ticket was purchased at Super C, 745 South 21st Street in Lincoln. The three-play quick pick ticket contained one play with all five of the winning numbers (3, 7, 27, 34, 38) from the May 1 drawing for the $50,000 jackpot.
Two hundred and forty-four Nebraska Lottery players have won the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot to date.
While claiming his prize on May 4, Tran told Nebraska Lottery officials that his mother purchased the winning ticket for him. “My mom called and told me I’d won,” said Tran. “I said, ‘Really?’ I was shocked.” He has no definite plans for his winnings.

The odds of winning the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot, which starts at $50,000 and grows by $4,000 each drawing that it is not won, are 1 in 501,942. The overall odds of winning a prize in the game, which has drawings six nights a week, are 1 in 8.
