$15,000 Money Multiplier Prize for Seward Woman

January 26, 2012– Helen Sommerer of Seward won $15,000 playing the $2 Scratch game Money Multiplier from the Nebraska Lottery.

Sommerer purchased her winning Money Multiplier ticket at Gas N Snaks, 541 Jackson Avenue in Seward. Scratching the ticket, she revealed matching numbers with a corresponding prize of $15,000.

There are three $15,000 top prizes available in Money Multiplier. Sommerer is the second person to claim a top prize to date.

While claiming her prize on January 3, Sommerer told Nebraska Lottery officials that she was “surprised” to win the top prize. “It was hard to believe at first,” she said. “I had to look at the ticket about 20 times before it sunk in.” Sommerer had no definite plans for her prize, but she stated she might use the money to take a trip this summer.

Money Multiplier is a $2 Scratch game that offers players the chance to win $469,300 in cash prizes from $2 to $15,000. The odds of winning the $15,000 top prize in Money Multiplier are 1 in 120,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 4.38.
