Sidney Woman Wins $130,000 Nebraska Pick 5 Jackpot

December 19, 2011– Bernadine Peterson of Sidney recently won $130,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.

Peterson purchased her winning Nebraska Pick 5 ticket at Petro Stopping Center, 4700 South Lincoln Avenue in York. The quick pick ticket contained all five of the winning numbers (3, 6, 13, 22, 38) from the November 18 drawing for the $130,000 jackpot.

Two hundred and thirty-six Nebraska Lottery players have won the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot to date.

While claiming her prize on November 22, Peterson told Nebraska Lottery officials that she purchased her winning Nebraska Pick 5 ticket while on a trip to Lincoln. “We stopped for gas, and I decided to buy a Pick 5 ticket,” said Peterson. “When I got back home and checked the ticket, I couldn’t believe it. I had everyone look at the numbers to make sure.” Peterson plans to pay bills and save for the future using her winnings.
