Lincoln Woman Wins $12,000 Playing American Idol Scratch Game
February 25, 2010 – Megan Noble of Lincoln won $12,000 playing the $2 Scratch game American Idol™ from the Nebraska Lottery.
Noble received her winning American Idol ticket as a sample from the Nebraska Lottery Street Team. The ticket contained four “Yes” votes in each of the ten Auditions on the ticket for a corresponding prize of $12,000.
There are three $12,000 top prizes available in American Idol. Noble is the second person to win a top prize to date.
While claiming her prize on February 22, Noble told Nebraska Lottery officials that her brother gave her the ticket because he thought it was a $12 winner. “No one believed me when I told them it was worth $12,000,” she said. Noble plans to split the prize with her brother, and may use her share for an upcoming vacation.
Based on the popular American Idol television series, the $2 American Idol Scratch game offers players the chance to win $625,000 in cash prizes from $2 to $12,000. The odds of winning $12,000 playing American Idol are 1 in 160,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.69.
