York Woman Wins $100,000 Playing Golden Riches

February 18, 2010 – Lois Osentowski of York won $100,000 playing the $10 Scratch game Golden Riches from the Nebraska Lottery.

Osentowski purchased her winning Golden Riches ticket at Pump & Pantry, 109 Lincoln Avenue in York. Scratching the ticket, she revealed matching numbers in Game 1 with a corresponding prize of $100,000.

There are three $100,000 top prizes available in Gold Riches. Osentowski is the second person to claim a top prize to date.

While claiming her prize on February 17, Osentowski told Nebraska Lottery officials that she “didn’t believe it” when she scratched off the ticket and realized she had won the $100,000 top prize. She then called Nebraska Lottery headquarters in Lincoln to double-check her ticket. Osentowski plans to save for retirement using her winnings.

Golden Riches is a $10 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $2,108,000 in cash prizes from $10 to $100,000. The odds of winning the $100,000 top prize in Golden Riches are 1 in 100,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.25.
