$10,007 Powerball Prize for Oakland Man
February 5, 2010 – Jerry Rennerfeldt of Oakland recently won a total of $10,007 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.
There were more than 19,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Wednesday, January 27, drawings. Among these winners was Rennerfeldt, who purchased his winning Powerball ticket at Nelson's Food Pride, 429 North Oakland Street in Oakland. The two-play ticket was good for 10 drawings. One play on the ticket contained four of the five white ball numbers (6, 15, 20, 26, 31) and the Powerball number (9) from the January 27 drawing for $10,000.
A second play on the ticket contained three of the five winning white ball numbers (3, 7, 23, 27, 42) from the January 2 drawing for $7, making Rennerfeldt’s total win $10,007.
Two hundred and sixty-nine Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 Powerball prize to date. The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 723,145, and the odds of winning $7 are 1 in 359. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 35.11.
