Lincoln Woman Wins $1,000 Playing Super Crossword

May 29, 2009 – Amber Bednar of Lincoln won $1,000 playing the $5 Scratch game Super Crossword from the Nebraska Lottery.

Bednar purchased her winning Super Crossword ticket at Hy-Vee, 1601 North 84th Street in Lincoln. Scratching the ticket, she revealed nine complete words for a corresponding prize of $1,000.

There are three $1,000 prizes available in Super Crossword. Bednar is the first person to claim a $1,000 prize to date.

Super Crossword is a $5 Scratch game that offers players the chance to win $2,448,000 in cash prizes from $5 to $50,000. The odds of winning $1,000 playing Super Crossword are 1 in 240,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.24.
