Hastings Man Wins $20,000 Playing Black Ice

Black IceMichael Sipp of Hastings won $20,000 playing the $10 Scratch game Black Ice from the Nebraska Lottery.

Sipp purchased his winning Black Ice ticket at Uncle Neal’s, 734 South Burlington Avenue in Hastings. Scratching the ticket, he revealed 20 matching numbers for a corresponding prize of $20,000.

There are twenty $20,000 top prizes available in Black Ice. Sipp is the fourth person to win a top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on November 3, Sipp told Nebraska Lottery officials that he purchased his winning ticket after stopping at Casey’s after work. He plans to pay bills using his winnings.

Black Ice is a $10 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $1.5 million in cash prizes from $10 to $20,000. The odds of winning the top prize in Black Ice are 1 in 24,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.13.
