Sioux City Man Wins $10,004 Playing Powerball

Juan CurielJuan Curiel of Sioux City, Iowa, recently won a total of $10,004 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 15,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Saturday, March 14 drawings. Among these winners was Curiel, who purchased his winning ticket at Dakota Food & Fuel, 515 North 14th Street in Dakota City. The two-play quick pick ticket contained one play with four of the five winning white ball numbers (08, 14, 39, 46, 47) and the Powerball number (18) from the March 14 drawing for $10,000. A second play matched the winning Powerball number for $4, making Curiel’s total prize $10,004.

Four hundred and eighty Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 Powerball prize to date. The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 648,975, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 31.8.
