Omaha Woman Wins $35,000 Playing Bonus Crossword

Crystal LeuzeCrystal Leuze of Omaha won $35,000 playing the $3 Scratch game Bonus Crossword from the Nebraska Lottery.

Leuze purchased her winning Bonus Crossword ticket at Kwik Shop, 3222 Q Street in Omaha. Scratching the ticket, she revealed 10 complete words for the $35,000 top prize.

There were nine $35,000 top prizes available in Bonus Crossword. Leuze was the ninth person to claim a top prize in this edition of the game.

While claiming her prize on March 12, Leuze told Nebraska Lottery officials that she scratched off the ticket at home and learned she had won the top prize. “I started screaming and I woke up the whole family,” said Leuze. She plans to play bills and purchase a new car using her winnings.

Bonus Crossword was a $3 Scratch game that offered players the chance to win $8.4 million in cash prizes from $3 to $35,000. The odds of winning the $35,000 top prize in Bonus Crossword are 1 in 480,000, while the overall odds are 1 in 3.40.
