Wymore Woman Wins $35,000 Playing Blackout Bingo
Laurie Lamb of Wymore won $35,000 playing the $3 Scratch game Blackout Bingo from the Nebraska Lottery.
Lamb purchased her winning Blackout Bingo ticket at Speedee Mart, 321 South 14th Street in Wymore. Scratching the ticket, she matched all of the BINGO NUMBERS in Card 5 for a corresponding prize of $35,000.
There are five $35,000 top prizes available in Blackout Bingo. Lamb is the second person to claim a top prize to date.
While claiming her prize on March 9, Lamb told Nebraska Lottery officials that this is the second time she has won on a Bingo Scratch ticket. She won $5,000 playing Twisted Bingo in February 2014. “I guess Bingo is my lucky game,” said Lamb. She stated that she was surprised to win a second time. “My legs went to noodles, and I almost fainted,” said Lamb. She had not specific plans for her prize, but stated she would use it to pay bills and spend time with her family.
Blackout Bingo is a $3 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $3.5 million in cash prizes from $3 to $35,000. The odds of winning the top prize in Blackout Bingo are 1 in 360,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.35.
