$150,000 Ca$hword Extravaganza Prize for Grand Island Man

Kevin Miller of Grand Island won $150,000 playing the $15 Scratch game Ca$hword Extravaganza from the Nebraska Lottery.

Miller purchased his winning ticket at Git ‘N Split, 3320 Langenheder Street in Grand Island. Scratching the ticket, he revealed 11 complete words for a corresponding prize of $150,000.

There were three $150,000 top prizes available in Ca$hword Extravaganza. Miller was the third person to claim a top prize in the game.

While claiming his prize on March 5, Miller told Nebraska Lottery officials that he almost missed his chance to win the top prize. “I was going to buy that ticket one night, but I ended up not buying it,” said Miller. “When I came back the next day, that same ticket was there, so I bought it and it was the winner. I couldn’t believe it.” He plans to save his winnings for the future.

Ca$hword Extravaganza is a $15 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offered player the chance to win $3 million in cash prizes from $15 to $150,000. The odds of winning $150,000 playing Ca$hword Extravaganza were 1 in 100,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize were 1 in 2.63.
