Lincoln Couple Wins $22,000 Playing 2by2

2by2Larry and Joyce Rezac of Lincoln won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were 29,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Tuesday, November 4, 2014, drawings. The Rezacs received their winning ticket at Fast Mart, 215 North Sixth Street in Seward. Their quick pick 2by2 ticket was a prize from  previous 2by2 play and contained the winning the winning red ball numbers (3, 18) and winning white ball numbers (8, 9) from the November 4 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.

Three hundred and thirty-nine Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

While claiming their prize on January 5, the Rezacs told Nebraska Lottery officials that they had never purchased 2by2 tickets before, but a recent promotion offering a free 2by2 ticket with each $5 Nebraska Pick 5 purchase ended up winning them $22,000. “We both play Pick 5 each week, and we started getting free 2by2 tickets, so we began playing it as well,” said Larry Rezac. “When I saw there was a winner in Seward, I was pretty sure it was one of ours.” They plan to purchase a new car using their winnings.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625. The odds of winning $3 are 1 in 383, and the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.
