Lincoln Man Wins $5,000 playing 12 Days of Christmas

Joseph SwartzJoseph Swartz of Lincoln won $5,000 playing the $1 Scratch game 12 Days of Christmas from the Nebraska Lottery.

Swartz purchased his winning 12 Day of Christmas ticket at Super Saver, 2662 Cornhusker Highway in Lincoln. Scratching the ticket, he revealed matching numbers for a corresponding prize of $5,000.

There are three $5,000 top prizes available in 12 Days of Christmas. Swartz is the first person to claim a top prize to date. He plans to pay bills using his winnings.

12 Days of Christmas is a $1 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $398,910 in cash prizes from $1 to $5,000. The odds of winning $5,000 playing 12 Days of Christmas are 1 in 240,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.44.
