Dannebrog Man Wins $90,000 Playing Nebraska Pick 5

Jacob BartleyJacob Bartley of Dannebrog recently won $90,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 13,500 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Wednesday, October 29 drawings. Among these winners was Bartley, who purchased his winning ticket at Casey’s General Store, 401 West 23rd Street in Fremont. The five-play quick pick ticket contained one play with all five of the winning numbers (7, 11, 26, 27, 35) from the October 29 drawing for the $90,000 jackpot.

Three hundred and seventeen Nebraska Lottery players have won the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot to date.

Bartley wasted no time claiming his prize, arriving at Nebraska Lottery headquarters the day after the drawing. “I’m still in shock,” said Bartley. “I don’t normally buy tickets at that store, but I had to go to Fremont for work so I ended up buying a ticket.” Bartley plans to pay bills and purchase a new truck using his winnings.

Nebraska Pick 5 is Nebraska's unique Lottery game: all the proceeds from Nebraska Pick 5 stay in Nebraska, and all the winning tickets are sold in Nebraska at Nebraska Lottery Lotto game retailers. The odds of winning the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot, which starts at $50,000 and grows by $4,000 each drawing that it is not won, are 1 in 501,942. The overall odds of winning a prize in the game, which has drawings six nights a week, are 1 in 8.
