Omaha Man Wins $5,000 Playing MyDaY

March 7, 2014 – Anthony Hembertt of Omaha recently won $5,000 playing MyDaY from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 7,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Thursday, February 27 drawings. Among these winners was Hembertt, who purchased his winning MyDaY ticket at Speedee Mart, 5205 South 72nd Street in Omaha. The five-play ticket contained one play with the winning Month (2), winning Day (23), and winning Year (12) from the February 27 drawing for the $5,000 top prize.

Three hundred and twenty-three Nebraska Lottery players have won the MyDaY top prize to date.

Hembertt is a regular MyDaY player who previously won the top prize in November 2013. He told Nebraska Lottery officials that he uses family birthdays to choose his MyDaY numbers. “I opened the Nebraska Lottery app on my phone, and there were my numbers,” said Hembertt. He plans to play bill and take a vacation using his winnings.

MyDaY is a Nebraska Lottery Lotto game with a calendar theme. Players can win up to $5,000 by choosing a six-digit date for each $1 MyDaY play. The odds of winning the $5,000 top prize in MyDaY are 1 in 36,525, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 8.17.
