Holdrege Man Wins $22,000 Playing 2by2

Ray Larsen July 19, 2013 – Ray Larsen of Holdrege recently won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 6,500 Nebraska Lottery winners in the June 24 drawings. Among these winners was Larsen, who purchased a 2by2 ticket at Casey’s General Store, 420 West 4th Street in Holdrege. The ticket was good for 21 draws and contained one play with the winning red ball numbers (11, 19) and winning white ball numbers (3, 17) from the June 24 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.

Three hundred and one Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on June 27, Larsen told Nebraska Lottery official that he learned he had won after checking the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com. “When I bought the ticket, I thought to myself, ‘Maybe I’ll win that 2by2,’ and then I did. I couldn’t believe it.” Larsen plans to pay for his children’s education using his winnings.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.
