Springfield Man Wins $22,000 Playing 2by2

John Rasmussen May 24, 2013 – John Rasmussen of Springfield recently won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 10,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the April 26 drawings. Among these winners was Rasmussen, who received a free ticket from a previous 2by2 play at Hy-Vee Gas, 7608 Olson Drive in Papillion. The two-play ticket contained one quick pick play with the winning red ball numbers (12, 20) and winning white ball numbers (16, 18) from the April 26 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.

Two hundred and ninety-eight Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on April 29, Rasmussen told Nebraska Lottery officials that he learned he had won after seeing the winning numbers at the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com. “I kept looking at the ticket over and over to make sure I hadn’t made a mistake,” said Rasmussen. He plans to pay bills using his winnings.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.
