Allen Man Wins $50,000 Nebraska Pick 5 Jackpot

April 9, 2013 – Gary Rahn of Allen recently won $50,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 11,500 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Friday, March 15 drawings. Among these winners was Rahn, who purchased his winning ticket at Countryside Gas-N-Grocery, 111 Highway 9 in Allen. The three-play ticket contained one play with the winning numbers (12, 22, 29, 33, 34) from the March 15 drawing for the $50,000 jackpot.

Two hundred and sixty-eight Nebraska Lottery players have won the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot to date.

While claiming his prize on March 18, Rahn told Nebraska Lottery officials that he learned he had won after using his satellite television service to view the winning numbers. “The TV was a little fuzzy, so I couldn’t tell if it was a 28 or a 29 at first,” said Rahn. “I just couldn’t believe that I’d won.” Rahn plans to pay for some home repairs using his winnings.
