Tecumseh Man Wins $22,000 Playing 2by2

Lee Tinkler January 9, 2013 – Lee Tinkler of Tecumseh recently won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 13,500 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Wednesday, December 5 drawings. Among these winners was Tinkler, who purchased his winning ticket at Casey’s General Store, 120 North 12th Street in Tecumseh. The five-play ticket was good for seven draws and contained one play with the winning red ball numbers (1, 17) and winning white ball numbers (1, 24) from the December 5 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.

Two hundred and eighty-three Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

Tinkler wasted no time claiming his prize, arriving at Nebraska Lottery headquarters the morning after the drawing. He learned he had won when he visited the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com. “I checked the ticket before I went to bed,” said Tinkler. “I couldn’t sleep at all after that.” He plans to play bills and complete some home improvements using his winnings.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.
