Mother & Daughter Split $22,000 2by2 Prize

Marcella Schellenberg and Karmon Lienemann November 16, 2012 – Marcella Schellenberg and Karmon Lienemann of Winside won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 9,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Wednesday, October 17th drawings. Among these winners were Schellenberg and her daughter Karmon, who received their winning ticket as a prize when cashing in a previous 2by2 play at Gene's Road Runner, 99 Woodland Drive in Norfolk. The free quick pick ticket contained the winning red ball numbers (1, 15) and winning white ball numbers (1, 10) from the October 17 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.

Two hundred and eighty-three Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

While claiming their prize on October 22, mother and daughter told Nebraska Lottery officials that they purchase 2by2 tickets together every week. “Whatever we win, we share,” said Schellenberg. They learned they had won after checking the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com. Schellenberg and Lienemann plan to pay bills using their $11,000 share of the prize.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.
