Nebraska Lottery June Update

FIRST FORD F-150 CLAIMED BY LINCOLN MAN

Kenneth Northup of Lincoln is the first winner of a 2010 Ford F-150 XLT Super Crew 4x4 Flex Fuel truck in the 15th edition of the Nebraska Lottery’s $2 Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game.

Northup purchased his winning Truck$ & Buck$ ticket at Shell Food Mart, 6006 Havelock Avenue in Lincoln. Scratching the ticket, he revealed matching numbers in Game 3 for the corresponding truck prize.

There are four Ford F-150 trucks available in Truck$ & Buck$. Northup is the first person to claim a top prize truck to date.

Nebraska Lottery officials presented Northup with his prize on Friday, May 21, at Shell Food Mart. Northup stated that he received his winning Truck$ & Buck$ ticket while cashing in another winning Scratch ticket. "I had a $3 winner and I wanted to buy some Emerald Green 7's tickets, but they didn't have any more at the store," said Northup. The clerk then suggested that he purchase a Truck$ & Buck$ ticket instead. Northup stated that he was "very happy" to win the truck prize.

The truck prize is valued at $50,000, which includes $1,465 for costs associated with ownership and state and federal withholding paid by the Nebraska Lottery of $2,500 and $12,500, respectively. The odds of winning the top prize in Truck$ & Buck$ are 1 in 180,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.53.

FIVE SEMI-FINALISTS CHOSEN FOR TRUCK$ & BUCK$ RAPTOR GIVEAWAY

In a drawing on June 2, five semi-finalists were chosen for the Truck$ & Buck$ Second-Chance Raptor Giveaway. These finalists are:

• Darren Friesen of Grand Island
• Marylouise Dean of Lincoln
• John Sutej of Omaha
• Joseph Boardman of Plattsmouth
• Chad Shuff of Omaha

The Truck$ & Buck$ Second-Chance Raptor Giveaway allows players to send in ten dollars worth of non-winning $2 Scratch tickets for the chance to win a 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor truck. Three preliminary drawings will be held in June, July, and August to select 15 semi-finalists, who will compete in the final Truck$ & Buck$ Second-Chance Raptor Giveaway Grand Prize contest on Saturday, August 28, 2010.

The Grand Prize Giveaway will be held on August 28 during the Lincoln Saltdogs home baseball game. The Grand Prize winner will receive a 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor truck and a $100 gift card for Ethanol-enriched fuel. Five second place winners will each win $1,000 cash. Each semi-finalist will receive a $50 gift card for Ethanol-enriched fuel and a prize package with products from the Nebraska Lottery, Ethanol-enriched fuel, Nebraska Game & Parks Commission, and Nebraska Pork Producers Association.

COMING SOON: NEBRASKA FOOTBALL ULTIMATE ROAD TRIP

Starting July 1, enter your non-winning Nebraska Pick 5 tickets for a chance to win a pair of tickets to one of the Nebraska Football away games this season.

Between July 1 and August 1, MVP Club members can enter the ticket number from one non-winning Nebraska Pick 5 Lotto ticket online at nelottery.com for a chance to win one pair of tickets to a Nebraska Football away game. Eligible tickets must be purchased during the promotion dates, and entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (CT) on August 1, 2010. A drawing will be held on Monday, August 2, 2010, to select the following six prize winners:

• Grand Prize (First Name Drawn) – one pair of tickets to the Nebraska at Washington football game in Seattle, Washington, on Saturday, September 18, 2010. This package is in conjunction with the Husker Sports Network 2010 Football excursion trip and includes roundtrip airfare for two from Omaha or Lincoln to Seattle, football game tickets, hotel accommodations for two nights, and the option to attend the Mariners vs. Rangers MLB game. Travel dates are Friday, September 17, through Sunday, September 19, 2010.
• Second Name Drawn – one pair of tickets to the Nebraska at Kansas State football game in Manhattan, Kansas, on Thursday, October 7, 2010;
• Third Name Drawn – one pair of tickets to the Nebraska at Kansas State football game in Manhattan, Kansas, on Thursday, October 7, 2010;
• Fourth Name Drawn – one pair of tickets to the Nebraska at Oklahoma State football game in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on Saturday, October 23, 2010;
• Fifth Name Drawn – one pair of tickets to the Nebraska at Iowa State football game in Ames, Iowa, on Saturday, November 6, 2010;
• Sixth Name Drawn – one pair of tickets to the Nebraska at Texas A&M football game in College Station, Texas, on Saturday, November 20, 2010.

Winners will also receive $400 for travel expenses and $50 in Nebraska Lottery $1 Scratch tickets.
