Nebraska Lottery April Update

LARRY THE CABLE GUY^® SCRATCH GAME

The Nebraska Lottery has released its latest $5 Scratch game featuring one of the most recognized comedians in America - Larry the Cable Guy.

With his signature catchphrase, "Git-R-Done^®," Larry the Cable Guy is selling out theatres and arenas across the United States. The $5 Larry the Cable Guy Scratch game features an extended play style with 16 chances to win on each ticket. Players have the opportunity to win over $1.6 million in total cash prizes from $5 to $32,000. Additionally, prizes can be multiplied three, six, or nine times when the Git-R-Done symbol appears within a winning play.

The Larry the Cable Guy Scratch game is now available at more than 1,150 Nebraska Lottery retailers statewide. The odds of winning one of the five $32,000 top prizes in the game are 1 in 96,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are in 1 in 3.66.

TRUCK$ & BUCK$

On May 3, the Nebraska Lottery is releasing the 15th edition of its popular $2 Scratch game Truck$ & Buck$.

The Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game features the 2010 Ford F-150 XLT Super Crew 4x4 Flex Fuel truck as its top prize. Players have the opportunity to win one of four Ford F-150 trucks as well as $741,000 in cash and Ethanol-enriched fuel prizes.

Each F-150 truck features a 5.4L V8 EEF Flex Fuel engine, 6-speed automatic transmission, 17" aluminum wheels, tow package, fog lights, chrome running boards, AM/FM/CD stereo, power windows and door locks, cruise control, 6-way adjustable driver's seat, and bed liner. The truck prize is valued at $50,000, which includes $1,465 for costs associated with ownership and state and federal withholding paid by the Nebraska Lottery of $2,500 and $12,500, respectively.

The Truck$ & Buck$ Scratch game will be available at Nebraska Lottery retailers starting on May 3. The odds of winning the top prize in Truck$ & Buck$ are 1 in 180,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.53.

During the months of May, June, July, and August, players who send in $10 worth of non-winning $2 Scratch tickets will be entered in the Truck$ & Buck$ Second-Chance Raptor Giveaway for a chance to win a 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor truck. Entries may be submitted via the Nebraska Lottery Web site, nelottery.com, or by mail. Three preliminary drawings will be held to select a total of 15 semi-finalists, who will compete for cash prizes and the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor truck at the Grand Prize drawing event on Saturday, August 28, 2010, at the Lincoln Saltdogs home baseball game.

POWER PLAY 10X PROMOTION

In each of the nine Powerball drawings in May, players who purchase Powerball tickets with the $1 Power Play option will have the chance to multiply their winnings by ten (10X).

Although Power Play has been available on Powerball for some time, not everyone is familiar with the feature. The Power Play multiplier number is drawn from 16 balls marked 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 5. Between May 1 and May 29, one 5X Power Play multiplier will be replaced with a 10X Power Play multiplier, giving players the opportunity to win ten times their prize up through the $200,000 second tier prize. The $200,000 Match 5 prize, which is normally fixed at 5X, can be changed to a 10X prize of $2 million.

If the 10X multiplier does not get drawn at least once during the month, the promotion will continue until the 10X is drawn.
