Scottsbluff Man Wins $35,000 Playing Loteria
Antonio Gurrola of Scottsbluff won $35,000 playing the $3 Scratch game Loteria from the Nebraska Lottery.
Gurrola purchased his winning Loteria ticket at 5th & O East Co., 503 East Overland Avenue in Scottsbluff. Scratching the ticket, he revealed matching symbols in a diagonal line for a corresponding prize of $35,000.
There are three $35,000 top prizes available in Loteria. Gurrola is the first person to claim a top prize to date.
While claiming his prize on November 3, Gurrola told Nebraska Lottery officials that it was hard to believe he’s won at first. “I scratched it off but I didn’t really think I’d won,” said Gurrola. “It’s the first time I’ve ever won anything big.” He plans to purchase a new truck using his winnings.
Loteria is a $3 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offers players the chance to win $935,700 in cash prizes from $3 to $35,000. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 160,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize are1 in 3.79.
