Callaway Woman Wins $45,000 Playing 7X the Money

Kathy WillisKathy Willis of Callaway won $45,000 playing the $5 Scratch game 7X the Money from the Nebraska Lottery.

Willis purchased her winning 7X the Money ticket at City Discount Liquor, 821 North Jeffers Street in North Platte. Scratching the ticket, she revealed matching numbers with a corresponding prize of $45,000.

There were three $45,000 top prizes available in 7X the Money. Willis was the third person to claim a top prize in the game.

While claiming her prize on October 30, Willis told Nebraska Lottery officials that she received her winning ticket after cashing in another ticket. “I’d won $5, so I decided to get another ticket,” said Willis. “I really didn’t believe it when I scratched it off and it said $45,000.” She plans to pay bills using her winnings.

7X the Money was a $5 Scratch game that offered players the chance to win $1.2 million in cash prizes from $5 to $45,000. The odds of winning $45,000 playing 7X the Money were 1 in 120,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize were 1 in 3.47.
