$22,000 2by2 Prize for David City Man

David Wingard of David City won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 13,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Wednesday, October 1 drawings. Wingard purchased his winning 2by2 ticket at RB’s Corner Stop, 405 D Street in David City. The two-play ticket contained one play with the winning red ball numbers (8, 18) and winning white ball numbers (4, 16) from the October 1 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.

Three hundred and thirty-one Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on October 2, Wingard told Nebraska Lottery officials that he uses family birthdays to choose his 2by2 numbers. He learned he had won after calling the Nebraska Lottery Player’s Hotline (800-224-LUCK). “I couldn’t believe it when I heard those numbers,” said Wingard. He plans to pay bills and purchase a vehicle using his winnings.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.
