Blair Woman Wins $138,000 Nebraska Pick 5 Jackpot

Nebraska Pick 5Mary Robinson of Blair recently won $138,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 10,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Monday, September 15 drawings. Among these winners was Robinson, who received a free quick pick ticket as a prize from a previous Nebraska Pick 5 play at Blair One Stop, 1715 Front Street in Blair. The ticket contained all five of the winning numbers (2, 4, 6, 24, 34) from the September 15 drawing for the $138,000 jackpot.

Three hundred and fifteen Nebraska Lottery players have won the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot to date.

While claiming her prize on September 17, Robinson told Nebraska Lottery officials that her husband Dale redeemed the original ticket that produced her jackpot-winning ticket. The couple learned they had the winning ticket after seeing the Nebraska Pick 5 numbers on the KETV Channel 7 news. “He showed me the ticket, and I couldn’t believe it,” said Mary Robinson.  They plan to pay for some home improvements and take a trip using the prize winnings.

Nebraska Pick 5 is Nebraska's unique Lottery game: all the proceeds from Nebraska Pick 5 stay in Nebraska, and all the winning tickets are sold in Nebraska at Nebraska Lottery Lotto game retailers. The odds of winning the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot, which starts at $50,000 and grows by $4,000 each drawing that it is not won, are 1 in 501,942. The overall odds of winning a prize in the game, which has drawings six nights a week, are 1 in 8.
