Crete Man Wins $22,000 Playing 2by2

Larry GrayLarry Gray of Crete recently won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 11,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Wednesday, July 2 drawings. Gray purchased his winning 2by2 ticket at Dave’s Wine & Liquor, 585 West Highway 33 in Crete. The quick pick ticket was good for seven draws and contained the winning red ball numbers (13, 18) and winning white ball numbers (1, 2) from the July 2 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.

Three hundred and twenty-eight Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on July 3, Gray told Nebraska Lottery officials that he used an in-store discount coupon to purchase a 7-draw 2by2 ticket for $5. He learned he had won after seeing the winning numbers on the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com. At first, he didn’t believe that he had won the top prize. “I had to double-check the numbers and then read on the website how many winners there were before I knew I’d won,” said Gray. He plans to pay bills using his winnings.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.
