Plattsmouth Man Wins $22,000 Playing 2by2

2by2June 11, 2014 – Joe Ostaseski of Plattsmouth recently won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 2,400 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Sunday, May 18 2by2 drawing. Ostaseski purchased his winning 2by2 ticket at Gene’s Service & Sport, 906 Webster Boulevard in Plattsmouth. The quick pick ticket contained the winning red ball numbers (8, 22) and winning white ball numbers (2, 4) from the May 18 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.

Three hundred and twenty-five Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on May 30, Ostaseski told Nebraska Lottery officials that he usually picks up a 2by2 ticket when buying gas at Gene’s Service & Sport. He learned he had won after returning to the store to check his tickets. “The clerk scanned the ticket and said, ‘We’ve been looking for you,’” said Ostaseski. He plans to pay bills using his winnings.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.
