Clatonia Woman Wins $5,000 Playing MyDaY

May 28, 2014 – Tammy Schlichting of Clatonia recently won $5,000 playing MyDaY from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 14,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Friday, May 9 drawings. Among these winners was Schlichting, who purchased her winning MyDaY ticket at Casey’s General Store, 521 South Main Street in Wilber. The three-play ticket contained one play with the winning Month (10), Day (24) and Year (57) from the May 9 drawing for the $5,000 top prize.

Three hundred and thirty two Nebraska Lottery players have won the MyDaY top prize to date.

While claiming her prize on May 12, Schlichting told Nebraska Lottery officials that she uses family birthdays to choose her MyDaY numbers. She learned she had won after calling the Nebraska Lottery Players Hotline (800-224-LUCK). “I had to call twice just to double-check. I couldn’t believe it,” said Schlichting. She plans to pay bills using her winnings.

MyDaY is a Nebraska Lottery Lotto game with a calendar theme. Players can win up to $5,000 by choosing a six-digit date for each $1 MyDaY play. The odds of winning the $5,000 top prize in MyDaY are 1 in 36,525, and the odds of winning $1 are 1 in 13. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 8.17.
