Guide Rock Man Wins $35,000 Playing Bonus Crossword

December 5, 2013 – Robert Rose of Guide Rock won $35,000 playing the $3 Scratch game Bonus Crossword from the Nebraska Lottery.

Rose purchased his winning Bonus Crossword ticket at Pump & Pantry, 1630 East South Street in Hastings. Scratching the ticket, he revealed 10 complete words for the $35,000 top prize.

There are nine $35,000 top prizes available in Anniversary Bonus Crossword. Rose is the third person to claim a top prize in the game.

While claiming his prize on December 2, Rose told Nebraska Lottery officials that at first he had a difficult time sharing the good news with his friends and family. “After I scratched off the ticket, I was so excited that I just wanted to tell someone about it,” said Rose. “I wanted to let my wife know, but she was at work, and no one else was around. I ran into a friend when I got back to town, so he was the first to know.” He plans to pay bills and buy a new vehicle using his winnings.
