Wahoo Woman Wins $5,000 Playing MyDaY

September 25, 2013 – Rita Dockweiler of Wahoo recently won $5,000 playing MyDaY from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 6,400 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Thursday, August 8 drawings. Among these winners was Dockweiler, who purchased her winning MyDaY ticket at Sun Mart, 1036 North Chestnut Street in Wahoo. The five-play ticket contained one play with the winning Month (10), winning Day (20), and winning Year (66) from the August 8 drawing for the $5,000 top prize.

Three hundred and four Nebraska Lottery players have won the MyDaY top prize to date.

While claiming her prize on August 16, Dockweiler told Nebraska Lottery officials that she uses family birthdays as her MyDaY dates. She learned she had won after checking the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com. “I was looking at the computer and I kept thinking, “I won? Really?,” said Dockweiler. She plans to pay bills using her winnings.

MyDaY is a Nebraska Lottery Lotto game with a calendar theme. Players can win up to $5,000 by choosing a six-digit date for each $1 MyDaY play. The odds of winning the $5,000 top prize in MyDaY are 1 in 36,525, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 8.17.
