Norfolk Woman Wins $74,000 Nebraska Pick 5 Jackpot

September 6, 2012 – Angela Fuchs of Norfolk recently won $74,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.

Fuchs purchased her winning Nebraska Pick 5 ticket at Hy-Vee Gas, 2310 Market Lane in Norfolk. The quick-pick ticket contained one play with all five of the winning numbers (5, 6, 16, 20, 32) from the August 20 drawing for the $74,000 jackpot.

Two hundred and fifty-four Nebraska Lottery players have won the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot to date.

While claiming her prize on August 24, Fuchs told Nebraska Lottery officials that she didn’t realize she had won the jackpot prize at first. “I didn’t know it was a winner until I had the ticket checked,” said Fuchs. “The clerk started yelling, ‘You’ve won the $74,000!’ It was such a surprise.” She plans to pay bills using her winnings.
