$22,000 2by2 Prize for DeWitt Man

Byron Schuerman March 25, 2014 – Byron Schuerman of DeWitt recently won $22,000 playing 2by2 from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 7,300 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Thursday, March 6 drawings. Schuerman purchased his winning 2by2 ticket at Casey’s General Store, 521 South Main Street in Wilber. The four-play ticket contained one play with the winning red ball numbers (10, 12) and winning white ball numbers (15, 23) from the March 6 drawing for a corresponding prize of $22,000.

Three hundred and sixteen Nebraska Lottery players have won the 2by2 top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on March 7, Schuerman told Nebraska Lottery officials that he used the numbers from a previously-purchased quick pick ticket to select his winning 2by2 numbers. He learned he had won after checking the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com. “Those numbers came up and I thought, ‘Am I seeing what I think I’m seeing?’” said Schuerman. He plans to pay bills using his winnings.

2by2 is run by the Multi-State Lottery Association and was introduced in June 2002. Players in Kansas, Nebraska and North Dakota have the opportunity to win up to $22,000 Monday through Sunday by playing 2by2. The odds of winning the $22,000 2by2 top prize are 1 in 105,625. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.59.
