June 26, 2012 – Three $10,000 Nebraska Powerball® prizes are set to expire at the beginning of July.
For the Jan. 4, 2012, Powerball drawing, one $10,000 winning ticket was sold at Uncle Neal’s, 228 North Burlington Street in Hastings. The ticket matched four of the five winning white ball numbers (21, 35, 46, 47, 50) and the Powerball number (2) for $10,000. This ticket will expire on Monday, July 2.
For the Jan. 7, 2012, Powerball drawing, one $10,000 winning ticket was sold at Super C #5, 3400 Village Drive in Lincoln. The ticket matched four of the five winning white ball numbers (3, 21, 24, 38, 39) and the Powerball number (24) for $10,000. This ticket will expire on Thursday, July 5.
For the Jan. 11, 2012, Powerball drawing, one $10,000 winning ticket was sold at Tim's Jack & Jill, 901 Main Street in Bridgeport. The ticket matched four of the five winning white ball numbers (5, 19, 29, 45, 47) and the Powerball number (25) for $10,000. This ticket will expire on Monday, July 9.
Winning Nebraska Lottery Lotto tickets expire 180 days after the drawing. Players are encouraged to check their tickets and claim any prizes before they expire.
Prizes over $500 must be claimed by mail or at a Nebraska Lottery claim center. Claim centers are located in Grand Island, Lincoln, Norfolk, North Platte, Omaha, and Scottsbluff. Click here for claim center addresses and hours.
Three hundred and eighty-one Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 Powerball prize to date. The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 648,976, and the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 31.85.
The Nebraska Lottery has offered Powerball since July 1994. Sales of Nebraska Powerball have exceeded $554 million and have helped raise a total of over $439 million for the Nebraska Lottery’s beneficiary funds. All 93 counties in Nebraska have benefited from projects funded with these Nebraska Lottery proceeds.
