June 20, 2012 – Roger Vedder of Lincoln recently won a total of $5,001 playing MyDaY from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 9,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Tuesday, June 12th drawings. Among these winners was Vedder, who purchased his winning MyDaY ticket at Hy-Vee Mainstreet, 2343 North 48th Street in Lincoln. The ticket was good for three drawings and contained one play the winning Month (3), winning Day (21), and winning Year (42) from the June 12 drawing for the $5,000 top prize.

Because he purchased a multi-draw ticket, Vedder’s ticket contained the winning Month from the June 11 drawing for $1, making his total prize $5,001.

Two hundred and thirty-eight Nebraska Lottery players have won the MyDaY top prize to date.

While claiming his prize on June 13, Vedder told Nebraska Lottery officials that he learned he had won after seeing the winning numbers on the 10/11 television news. “I couldn’t believe it when I saw those numbers come up, so I called the winning numbers phone line twice to double-check,” said Vedder. He plans to pay bills using his winnings.

MyDaY is a Nebraska Lottery Lotto game with a calendar theme. Players can win up to $5,000 by choosing a six-digit date for each $1 MyDaY play. The odds of winning the $5,000 top prize in MyDaY are 1 in 36,525, and the odds of winning $1 are 1 in 374. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 8.17.
