Bellevue Man Wins $32,000 Playing Diamond Mine 9x

January 5, 2012– James Dillon of Bellevue won $32,000 playing the $5 Scratch game Diamond Mine 9x from the Nebraska Lottery.

Dillon purchased his winning Diamond Mine 9x ticket at Kwik Shop, 502 West Mission Street in Bellevue. Scratching the ticket, he revealed matching symbols in Game 13 with a corresponding prize of $32,000.

There are four $32,000 top prizes available in Diamond Mine 9x. Dillon is the first person to claim a top prize in the game.

While claiming his prize on December 12, 2011, Dillon told Nebraska Lottery officials that he almost missed purchasing the winning ticket. “I buy $5 tickets every week, and I wanted to buy a KISS ticket, but they didn’t have any,” said Dillon. “So I bought a Diamond Mine ticket instead. I couldn’t believe it when I scratched it off.” He plans to donate to charity and save his winnings for the future.
