Minden Man Wins $17,000 Playing Gem 7s

November 18, 2009 – Richard Graham of Minden won $17,000 playing the $2 Scratch game Gem 7s from the Nebraska Lottery.

Graham purchased his winning Gem 7s ticket at Uncle Neal's, 709 North Brown Street in Minden. Scratching the ticket, he revealed a winning “7” symbol with a corresponding prize of $17,000.

There are two $17,000 top prizes available in Gem 7s. Graham was the second person to claim a $17,000 prize.

Gem 7s was a $2 Scratch game from the Nebraska Lottery that offered players the chance to win $625,200 in cash prizes from $2 to $17,000. The odds of winning $17,000 playing Gem 7s were 1 in 240,000, while the overall odds of winning any prize were 1 in 3.61.
