Omaha Man Wins $10,014 Powerball Prize

May 2, 2008 – Frank Stoysich of Omaha recently won $10,014 playing Powerball from the Nebraska Lottery.

There were more than 18,000 Nebraska Lottery Lotto winners in the Saturday, April 26, drawings, including four $10,000 Powerball winners. Stoysich purchased his winning Powerball ticket for the April 26 drawing at The Hooch Hutch, 4240 L St in Omaha. The ticket contained five quick pick plays. One play contained four of the five winning white ball numbers (7, 12, 17, 27, 45) and the Powerball number (24) for $10,000.

Two additional plays on the ticket matched one of the white ball numbers and the Powerball number for $4 each. The final two plays matched the Powerball for $3 each, making Stoysich’s total win $10,014.

One hundred and eighty-two Nebraska Lottery players have won the $10,000 prize in Powerball to date. The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in 584,432. The odds of winning $4 playing Powerball are 1 in 127 and the odds of winning $3 are 1 in 69. The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 36.61.
