$1,000 Championship Poker Prize for Lincoln Man
March 18, 2008 – Justin Casteel of Lincoln won $1,000 playing the $5 Scratch game Championship Poker from the Nebraska Lottery.
Casteel purchased his winning Championship Poker ticket at Roc's Stop & Shop, 1449 N 56th St in Lincoln. The ticket contained five cards that combined beat the Champion’s best hand for a corresponding $100 prize.

There are three $1,000 prizes available in Championship Poker. Casteel is the last person to claim at $1,000 prize in the game to date.
While claiming his prize, Casteel told Nebraska Lottery officials that at first he didn’t know if he had won. He finally learned of his win after checking the ticket at a Nebraska Lottery retailer. Casteel plans to take his family shopping using his winnings.
